To students-
Welcome to a new school year here at York Junior High. This year promises to be quite an eventful one, and we have a lot on our plate to learn this year. Please know that I am here to help you learn the material that the state and the district have outlined that we work on. If you ever have any questions, concerns, or problems, my door is always open to you. I look forward to getting to know you throughout this year.
To parents-
Its a privilege to be entering my fourth year here in York, where I feel I work with some of the finest students and families around. In our class, we will continue the process of moving towards high school mathematics. I am confident that anyone who gives enough effort will be successful in my class. Thank you in advance for having the confidence in me to allow me to work with your greatest possession, your children. I take this responsibility very seriously and will always do my best to meet your child's needs. Math can be a difficult subject for anyone to learn. However, there is good news. It can be learned through repetition and practice. I will provide many opportunities for your child to practice in my classroom, however; I will also assign homework for your student to practice the skills that we have covered in class. I will not give "busy work", all work that is assigned to your child will have a purpose behind it. Please feel free to contact me at any time (just use the link on the left-contact) and I will do my best to respond to your question or concern as soon as possible.
